I founded Carlos' Gardening Services in 1987, but my experience in the lawns industry extends back to 1974.

My name is Carlos Caetano, I was born in the green Island of S. Miguel, Azores, I lived in Candelária, a small town with about 1000 residents.

In 1971,  My father migrated to Toronto Canada looking for a brighter future and became a gardener in the city of Toronto, my mother came to join him in 1972.

In 1974,  My 4 sisters and I came to join my parents, we had been living with my grandmother for two years in the Azores. At the age of 13 years old I  started working with my father during the summer time. We worked 6 days a week, 12 hours a day.

In 1987, With the little money I had saved over the years I was able to buy a truck and enough tools to start my own Lawn and Garden business and it  grew from then on. I have expanded my services into many areas of the city of Toronto including Willowdale, Lawrence Park and Rosedale.

Achievements,  I won first prize for front and back yard in York's annual Best Garden Contest in 1998. My father won the prize in 1999, I came second. However I was again the first prize winner in York's annual Best Garden Contest  in 2000 and 2001.
